  • The box paneled and beaded on all sides, the hinged lid centering a “spiked angel,” the facade with lock in the figural form of the Demigod of the Third Hand, flanked by ancient symbols, the side with six complex runes.

  • Wear and dents to edges, and some pitting overall.

  • Property from the collection of Mrs. Elizabeth Grantham, New Orleans; a gift from her husband, a sea captain, 1847.
