  • Embossed with segmented vines which intersect to form and surround symbology including crosses and runes, filled with a viscous black substance, with cork stopper.

  • Dark dried substance to lip, roughness to glass around lip, replaced cork intact.

  • Originally part of the Imperial Russian collection, prior to 1917; sold to Mr. George K. Bell, London, in 1921; by descent to his great-grandson.
