  • The carved ivory sclera showing blood vessels and nerves, surrounding the blown glass cornea, iris and pupil, the iris composed of hundreds of delicately pulled filaments of light brown glass.

  • Cracks and minor discoloration to ivory, glass with no evidence of chips, cracks, scratches or other damage.

  • Once part of the Austin collection of Robert Young, sold to Patricia Lee in San Francisco in 1978. Remained in the Lee family until 1998.
