  • The lid and facade with beaded ribs dividing finely relief-carved panels, the lid centering a circular reserve above a cruciform hasp with mask flanked by clasp enclosures, each side similarly carved and mounted with a ring handle, all on turned feet.

  • Yellowed patina, gilt wear to mounts.

  • Acquired by the renowned collector Madam Louise de Bellevue in Paris, circa 1910; by inheritance to her niece.
